Tantric massage is an incredible method of using bodies as tools for the progress of Enlightenment, employing therapeutic touch. The goals with Tantra Yoga involve developing the Kundalini, though normally the climax of that won’t occur in this lifetime. Tantra takes a long, slow approach, with greatdedication and hard work required for many incarnations before a person is ready for the harmonious raising of the potential life force energy, the Kundalini snake, uncoils and peaks its head up into the sushumna conduit in the center of the spine. Massage can help with the process of the raising, and then the development if it raises.

The person doing the massage should be extremely tuned in, centered and grounded, those old stand-by words. In actuality, those words are pretty definitive, as putting the sense of the self in the center of the body, in the belly, and also turning the attention magnetically downward, deep into the earth, are good practices before beginning. Also, having some salt and water nearby, and a smudge-stick, is highly recommended.

Tuning into your other levels:

You need to integrate your widest levels of your aura, the eternally wise and powerful self with the most focused pin point of the physical. You bring energy through all your levels, from the Source, to the person you are massaging. Your feelings about the person and the situation, and yourself, must be clear enough that you can at least honestly set them aside, if they are problematic. Ideally, of course, they should be crystal clear. But it’s possible to over-ride the personal.

It’s great if you can explore the different levels of yourself, from the most personal to the most expanded, and develop a relation with them, and between them. I did this myself over the course of decades, in my long-term explorations of the levels of my aura as it rises above my head. Once the levels get beyond the mental, the material contained within them becomes more archetypal, less reliant on “book learning.” While the lower levels may slough off between lives, the larger ones continue, to some degree, and bygoing into them consciously, we can see how those levels may have expressed themselves in other times, places, alternatives, dimensions, dreams.

We can tune into their abilities and powers, on the psychic realms, whether they were really expressed in the ways we remember or not. I don’t know if the memories I have, from meditation, past life regressions, and such, are “real.” But by delving into what could have been vivid memories, I solidified and anchored those abilities and archetypes, such as “the monk,” and “the priestess.”

Maybe these levels never lived pure lives with pristine goals of helping people raise their Kundalini in the past. People, and other creatures involved with Kundalini, spirit, initiations, priesthoods, are corrupt throughout history, as is everyone else. But the archetypes of such, given clear attributes, can be useful still in tuning into the higher frequencies of the self, as long as you don’t take them or yourself too seriously. The more divine you get, the more playful and light, and egoless.

Sound:

If you could make a sound that describes the sensation of reality you have when you close your eyes and turn them upward, and imagine going higher and higher into your most expanded levels of your aura, into the source, what would it sound like? Can this sound be approximated by the voice? If not, you can make this sound silently by Being it, vibrating it, at the person you massage. Any sound you do approximate is a responsibility to take seriously.

You are manipulating a person’s field minutely, precisely, when doing this work, not as a person, only, but as an archetype, a goddess, or god, priest, or snake charmer, whatever vision/s you have of yourself. You can’t take a chance of making the wrong sound. You have to go into a deep trance, best entered using Tantric exercises.

Chakras:

Each chakra has sounds assigned to it, traditionally. These can be learned from a teacher, or, if you know Sanskrit language, from books. You can also make your own, as you tune into the web of wisdom. The chakras are like little ley line crossings on the body, which, just as those do on the earth, extend beyond the physical surface. Ley lines are energy pathways that criss cross the earth horizontally, and where they cross, form vertical vortices. The vortices of chakras are little openings into the aura that whirl the sound into the entire being.

As you tone, you may want to put your face right next to the appropriate chakras. You may want to begin with the third eye one, to awaken the vision of the person, so he or she can “see” what happens next. You might then want to begin at the root chakra at the base of the spine and work upward to the crown of the head, as you coax the pre-Kundalini energies up.

There are minor chakras too, in the knees, and hands, feet, and there are so many minor chakras, on a smaller scale, that really, we are porous constructs made of tiny quantum foam chakras. Anywhere you tone, the sound can go in. So pay attention to what part of the body is calling out for what sound, where energies are stuck, stagnant, needing to be calmed or stimulated, acknowledged, or disintegrated.

The more you can be in bliss as you do it, while remaining grounded in reality, the more likely you can take the other person into that state!
